A Relaxing private spa experience
It’s super important to me to provide a relaxing, vibey space where you can feel instant comfort; like you’re at an old friend's house instead of a stuffy, nerve-wracking appointment. I’ll make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed, no matter how you identify. As a queer and neurodivergent person: I know how important it is to create a safe space– especially for folks who don’t feel safe and accepted in traditional salons/spa environments.

I understand that skincare is often overwhelming, and that’s exactly why I am here. Think of me as your skin’s interpreter who will happily guide you on your skin journey! On this journey, you can expect facial treatments and advice based on what you and your skin need. This means your personalized skincare routine will match your lifestyle and your budget.

The Skin by Sunni Process
A.K.A: How I’ll help you achieve your dream skin - step by step
1) The Consultation
It all starts with a thorough evaluation of your skin and your skin goals! Skincare is not a one-size-fits-all kind of process, and skin issues usually can’t be fixed overnight. But with a passionate, empathetic skin expert (who has dealt with her own skin issues in the past) on your side, your journey to healthy skin will go much smoother– and you’ll see results faster!
Using eco-friendly, clinical strength, non-irritating products, I’ll create custom blends for your moisturizers and facials that target your biggest skin concerns while creating a glowing transformation of healthy skin.
*I also offer skin consultations virtually if for any reason you need to do a virtual consultation (i.e sickness, COVID related precautions/immunocompromised client preferences, or maybe a pressing issue that you would like help with before you have time to come in for a service).
2) Your First Service
Whether your first Skin by Sunni facial is focused on barrier repair, skin retexturizing, or another custom facial speciality: you will leave my super vibey and relaxing spa feeling calmer, more connected to your body, and more confident (in your skin knowledge and your skin’s general appearance!)
3) Building Your Skin Routine
I will help you create a morning and night-time skin routine that fits your lifestyle and budget! If you can only realistically use 3 products in one skincare session, that’s totally fair! I can work with that.
Your time in my cozy spa is only 40% of the skin transformation process; the other 60% is what you do at home, consistently. I’ll help you build a step-by-step customized skincare routine to help you enjoy those few minutes you spend at night and in the morning completing your skincare ritual!
4) Accountability and Consistent Support
I call my clients “client-friends” for a reason! I am super bubbly, extroverted, and community oriented; which also means I usually become friends with my clients! I genuinely care about your skin journey and want to provide the most accepting, relaxing spa experience you’ve ever had; and to take it one step further, I’ll support you even when you're not in my spa physically!
I love the strong sense of community support in the Twin Cities and I try to reflect that in how I run my business! You’ll see my name in your email inbox a few times after your first appointment: checking in to make sure your new products and routines are going well. I’ll also send detailed instructions on how and when to use certain products, which will be the most helpful at the beginning of your journey but will continue to be useful for tracking how your skin reacts (in case we need to make alterations to the routine.)

About Skin by Sunni
As someone who has struggled with breakouts and sensitive skin since 6th grade, I can vividly remember the frustrations of wanting clear, healthy skin and struggling to achieve it. I understand the pain, embarrassment, and all of the other emotions that come with having skin challenges.
My silver lining: years of feeling self conscious and frustrated inspired me to become an esthetician and start Skin by Sunni! <3
Fast forward a bit → I started my esthetics career in 2015 and have since been known for my friendly vibes, creating personalized skincare routines, and using exclusively eco-friendly and family-owned skincare products. Beyond all this, I am passionate about helping you fall back in love with your skin!
Fast forward a bit more → Today I am the most authentic and abundant version of myself: a 37 year old neurodivergent, queer, community centered, pro-choice hippie who loves making new friends! I live in South Minneapolis and am currently living my dream by running my small business below my home in a completely separate renovated spa.
